What are Perpetual markets
Perpetual futures are a type of derivative instrument. The value of a perpetual futures position comes from the price of its underlying index or asset (usually a spot trading market). // EXPLAIN ORACLE OR HOW THIS WORK.
Depositing Funds to Perpetual Market Account
Before opening a position, users must deposit funds into their Perpetual Market Account.
Steps:
Navigate to the selected Perpetual Market (e.g., SOL-PERP).
Enter the desired deposit amount.
The interface displays the Perpetual Portfolio evaluation, showing total funds if no open positions exist.
Confirm the deposit transaction.
Funds will be credited to the Perpetual Market Account upon confirmation.
Selecting Leverage
Users can adjust leverage (1x–10x) before opening a position.
Steps:
Navigate to the selected Perpetual Market or access Account Settings.
Use the leverage slider or manually input the desired leverage (1x to 10x).
The interface displays the selected leverage level.
Confirm the leverage selection.
The chosen leverage is saved for the selected Perpetual Market or Account.
Placing a Perpetual Market Order
Users can place market or limit orders for perpetual futures trading.
Steps:
Navigate to the Perpetual Trading interface and select a market (e.g., SOL-PERP).
Choose "Limit" or "Market" as the order type.
Input the desired price and quantity.
Select "Buy" or "Sell."
Optionally, select IOC (Immediate or Cancel) to prevent passive order placement.
An order preview will display estimated cost, fees, adjusted price, and margin details.
Confirm the transaction in the wallet.
Orders will appear in "Open Orders" if partially filled or in "Positions" and "Perpetual Portfolio" if fully filled.
Viewing & Cancelling Open Perpetual Market Orders
Users can monitor and manage active orders in real-time.
Steps:
Open the "Open Orders" section.
View order details, including status, price, quantity, and timestamp.
Click "Cancel" to remove an active order.
Confirm the cancellation transaction in the wallet.
The order is removed from the open orders list upon successful cancellation.
Mass Cancelling Open Orders
Users with multiple active orders can cancel them all at once.
Steps:
Open the "Open Orders" section.
View details for all active orders.
Click "Mass Cancel" to remove all selected orders.
Confirm the cancellation transaction in the wallet.
All selected orders are removed upon successful cancellation.
Withdrawing from Perpetual Market Account (TBD)
Users may withdraw funds from their Perpetual Market Account when closing positions.

Monitoring Liquidation Threshold
Users can track margin usage and liquidation price in real-time.
Steps:
Navigate to "Perpetual Positions."
View the current margin ratio, unrealized PnL, and estimated liquidation price.
If the margin ratio falls below a critical threshold (e.g., < 120%), a visual alert is displayed, prompting action to add collateral or reduce exposure.
